Fayre & Community Events Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all craft activities, workshops and creative stations operated by Wishful Events at school fayres, community events, markets and public events.

1. Participation

Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis unless otherwise stated.

All participants must follow instructions provided by Wishful Events staff.

Children under 16 must be supervised by a parent, guardian or responsible adult at all times. Wishful Events staff facilitate the activity but do not provide childcare.

2. Payments

Payment must be made before participation unless otherwise agreed by the event organiser.

All fees are non-refundable once the activity has commenced.

3. Safety

Craft activities may involve the use of glues, paints, inks, embellishments, scissors and other craft materials.

Any heat press, heat tool or specialist equipment will be operated by Wishful Events staff only.

Participants take part at their own risk and must follow all safety instructions provided.

Wishful Events reserves the right to refuse participation or stop an activity if behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive or inappropriate.

4. Allergies & Medical Conditions

Participants are responsible for informing Wishful Events of any known allergies, sensitivities or medical conditions before taking part.

Whilst reasonable care is taken in selecting materials, Wishful Events cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

Wishful Events accepts no liability for allergic reactions, skin sensitivities or medical issues arising from participation.

5. Clothing & Personal Property

Craft materials may stain or damage clothing, footwear and personal belongings.

Participants are advised to wear suitable clothing.

Wishful Events accepts no responsibility for damage to clothing, accessories, mobile phones or personal possessions during participation.

6. Handmade Items

Craft items created during the activity are handmade and may contain glued, decorative or delicate elements.

Wishful Events cannot guarantee the longevity or durability of finished items once they leave the activity area and accepts no liability for breakages, damage or deterioration after the event.

7. Photography & Consent

Photographs and video footage may be taken during activities for use on our website, social media channels, marketing materials and promotional content.

We respect the privacy of all participants, particularly children.

No identifiable images of children will be used without appropriate parental or guardian consent.

If you do not wish for you or your child to be photographed, please notify a member of the Wishful Events team before participation.

We will make reasonable efforts to avoid capturing or using identifiable images where consent has not been granted.

8. Liability

Wishful Events maintains £5 million Public Liability Insurance.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wishful Events shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or expense arising from participation in craft activities, except where caused by our negligence.

9. Acceptance

By participating in a Wishful Events activity, participants and/or their parent or guardian acknowledge and accept these Terms & Conditions.
